I’m a wife and mama from the great flat state of Kansas. I’ve been married to my Dougie for 14 + years and we have two adorable and precocious children, Jacob and Katie. I’d rather have a steamy mug of coffee than the most expensive glass of wine and I have a sugar wafer addiction I really must get control of.
My first published short story, NO PLACE LIKE HOME appears in the winter anthology, Sleigh Ride. Weee!
Currently accepting freelance projects for proofreading, editing (manuscript, print, web) copy writing (print and website content) social media management, ghostwriting and hamster sitting.
I love to read as much as I love to write so my editing/guest-blogging gig at Book End Babes is the perfect fit.
I’m proud to be founder of VOGM Parents.org, an organization created after my daughter, Katie, battled and won a rare brain disorder, Vein of Galen Malformation.
When I’m not writing for work or world peace, I’m embarrassing my husband and children by sharing our personal lives here.
If you’d like to see a snapshot of my writing style, please visit the SAMPLES page for links to technical, amusing and personal articles written for a variety of different clients on a multitude of different subjects.
I’m currently writing a book about our experience with VOGM and the treatment we sought in New York. I’m sharing our tale to raise awareness and secretly hope to score an interview with the dreamy Brian Williams from NBC News.
